Moving Forward
We need money, lots of it, to fund research to answer tough questions and to conduct far more laboratory experiments. And we need much more public education about the disease. It is estimated that there are tens of thousands of Parkinson's sufferers who are unaware what is causing then all the pain and confusion. This book has been published for me, for my family and offspring, for my friends, and for my fellow "Parkies." All of the proceeds from its sale go toward research to find the cure for our disease. Some might wonder where I'm going from here. You probably have already
surmised that I'm not going to fade quietly into that good night. Rather,
I'm going to wage a relentless battle in the next several years against
Parkinson's disease both for myself and for the hundreds of thousands of
others in this country who are daily fighting this mysterious foe.
